Once you've created an event in BookMeIn.Events, you can easily edit it to update information or add additional details. This guide will walk you through the editing process.
Accessing Your Event for Editing
There are multiple ways to access your event for editing:
From the Dashboard
- Navigate to your Dashboard from the left sidebar
- Scroll to the My Recent Events section
- Locate the event you want to edit
- Click the edit icon (pencil icon) in the Actions column on the right
From Event Management
- Click on Events in the left sidebar
- Select Event Management from the dropdown menu
- Find your event in the list
- Click the edit icon next to the event
Understanding the Editing Interface
The event editing page is organized into 5 main tabs, each containing different aspects of your event:
📝 Tab 1: Details
This tab contains the core information about your event and is divided into several sections:
Event Overview
- Name: Update your event's title
- Summary: Modify the short description
- Full Description: Use the rich text editor to provide detailed information about your event, including formatting options for bold, italic, lists, links, and more
Timing Details
- Timezone: Change the timezone for your event
- Begin at: Update the start date and time
- End at: Set or modify the end date and time
Happening Categorization
- Type: Change between In-Person, Virtual, Hybrid, or To-Be Announced
- Attendance: Update the maximum number of participants
- Link: Add or modify the event link (required for Virtual events)
- Enable multi-location: Toggle this option if your event takes place in multiple locations
- Type venue Name or Address: Add or update the physical location
- View the location on an interactive map
Host Details
- Organizer: Update the event organizer information
- Social Profile: Add or modify social media links
Happening Details
- Tags: Add, remove, or modify event tags
- Category: Change the event category
Additional Sections
- Detailed Agenda: Add or modify conference days and sessions
- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): Create FAQ sections with questions and answers
- Privacy Policy: Add your privacy policy information
- Terms & Conditions: Include terms and conditions using the rich text editor

Add visual and supplementary materials to enhance your event:
Event Images
- Additional Event Images: Upload multiple images for your event
- Delete existing images using the Delete button
- YouTube Video URL: Add a promotional video by entering the YouTube URL
- Preview the video directly in the interface
Documents
- Additional Attachment: Upload supplementary files
- Add Documents: Upload documents in PDF, PPT, or Word format
- Drag and drop files or browse to upload
🎫 Tab 3: Ticketing
Manage all ticket-related settings:
Ticket Types
For each ticket type, you can configure:
- Ticket Price: Set or update the price
- Fee Processing: Choose how to handle fees:
- Absorb Fees: You pay the service fees
- Pass-On Fees: Attendees pay the service fees
- Split Fees: Share fees between you and attendees
- Total Quantity: Set the number of tickets available
- On-sale Dates: Define when tickets go on sale and when sales end
Advanced Ticket Settings
- Settings & Customization: Click to expand and configure additional ticket options
- Coupons & Discounts: Click to expand and manage promotional codes and discounts

Customize your event's appearance and settings:
Event-Specific Settings
- Show on calendar: Display this event in your public calendar (toggle on/off)
- Show On Collection: Display this event in public collections (toggle on/off)
- Show announcement on the event page: Display latest announcements on the event public page (toggle on/off)
Event-Specific Customization
- Customize Ticket Booking Button:
- Book Button Label: Change the text on the booking button (e.g., "BOOK TICKETS")
- Book Promotion Label: Add a promotional message
- Book Button Color: Choose a custom color using the color picker
- Preview your custom button in real-time
Event-Specific Insights
- Google Analytics Tracking Code: Add your tracking code to monitor event page analytics
🔗 Tab 5: Resources
Connect your event with additional resources:
Event Lineups
- Select lineups for this event: Choose from existing lineups or speakers
- View selected lineups in the expandable section
- Select sponsors for this event: Add sponsors from your existing sponsor list
- Manage selected sponsors in the expandable section
Saving Your Changes
After making updates to your event, you have two options:
- Update & Preview: Click this button to save your changes and preview how the event will appear to attendees
- Update Event: Click this button to save all changes and return to the event list
Tips for Editing Events
- Regular Updates: Keep your event information current by updating it regularly as details change
- Rich Content: Use the Full Description editor to create engaging content with formatting, images, and links
- Test Changes: Use the "Update & Preview" option to see how your changes look before publishing
- Complete Information: Fill in all relevant tabs to provide attendees with comprehensive event details
- Image Quality: Upload high-quality images in the Elements tab to make your event more attractive
- Ticket Management: Regularly check and update ticket availability and pricing in the Ticketing tab
- Save Frequently: Remember to save your changes using the Update Event button at the bottom of each tab
